The Hopebroidery Box is a monthly subscription box where I send you all the supplies you'll need for that month's project, including access to a full-length video tutorial. If you're not sure if you want to subscribe, or maybe you skipped the May 2022 box, this listing is for you! I've made a very limited number of extra May boxes that you can purchase as a one-off (i.e., without subscribing).
 
For this project, we’re stitching a bold butterfly surrounded by vines and florals onto a mustard linen blend fabric. As you can see in the listing's photos, you'll get to choose between stitching your butterfly in a deep blue or pale pink color -- I provide you with both options in your physical kit! You can read about the design process behind this particular design on my blog.
 
The May 2022 box includes the following supplies: a pair of black embroidery scissors with large, rounded handles from Kelmscott Designs (retail value $17); two embroidery needles ($2); my favorite metal needle threader ($2.49); a cut of a mustard linen blend fabric ($5.50); four inch bamboo embroidery hoop ($2); five full skeins of Sublime Stitching cotton embroidery floss ($6.43); your pattern for transfer pre-printed onto cardstock and a white water-erasable fabric pen for transfering your design using the window method ($2.49); and of course the digital pattern and step-by-step video tutorial ($20). This brings the total value of this month’s box to $57.91! All prices are in USD, and only include shipping if it's an item that can ONLY be bought online, such as Sublime Stitching floss.
 
Before checking out, you'll need to choose whether you want a box with or without this month's scissors, which will change the price accordingly (e.g., if you get a box without scissors, it's less expensive than the full box).
