The Daffodils and Rosebuds Hand Embroidery Project (February 2024’s Hopebroidery Box)

Updated: Feb 11

Here’s what subscribers to the Hopebroidery Box are stitching with me in February! February’s project features three white and yellow daffodils with green stems surrounded by pink rosebuds and green, yellow, and pink vines and accents.

The project’s been stitched onto a pink cotton fabric, and she’s holding the hoop above a dark green surface.]

To create this design we’ll be using just four shades of Sublime Stitching floss on this pink shade of Kona cotton fabric (“Blush Pink”). You’ll learn three ways to create hand embroidered flowers; how to follow lines and curves to create stems and vines; and loads of stitches for creating interesting and colorful accents.

As always, subscribers will receive all the supplies you’ll need to complete this project. February’s supplies include full skeins of Sublime Stitching embroidery floss; a large cut of this month’s fabric; embroidery needles and my favorite metal needle threader; a fuchsia washable marker for transferring your pre printed pattern to fabric; four inch bamboo embroidery hoop; and a pair of embroidery scissors from Kelmscott Designs curated specifically for this project.

You’ll also receive the project’s digital pattern, which includes a link to your project’s step-by-step instructions via a thorough video tutorial on the very first page.

New subscribers have until the end of January, 2024, to sign up in time to get this project at the subscriber rate, and your box will ship in very early February. If you haven’t subscribed yet, be sure to do so by the end of January!

If you’re here late, or maybe you’re not interested in the subscription model–both of which are perfectly fine, of course!--you can still stitch this with me! Once subscribers’ boxes are in the mail, I’ll add this project as both a physical kit (with or without this month’s scissors) and digital pattern (included with the physical kit, but perfect on its own if you already have plenty of your own supplies) in my shop!

I’m so excited for this project, and I can’t wait to see what you make!

Happy stitching!
